SPRING BREAK PROGRAMS

April 23, 24, 25  from 9am-12pm

This is a program for children currently in kindergarten through third grade

Members only.  $30 per child/per day

We will provide a morning snack.  Children should bring a water bottle.

PLEASE- No phones, electronics or other toys from home.

April 23rd - Feathers and Fluff with Megan: Join us for a session all about what animals are covered in. We will meet animals like chinchillas, bunnies, hawks, and owls, while talking about what covers their skin. We will go outside to look for feathers and fuzzy friends on the trail, as well as play some games, and explore in our museum. There might even be a chance to take your own furry or feather friend home (no care required!).

April 24th - Metamorphosis with Ryan: As spring starts, soon too will the life cycles of animals like frogs, toads, and insects. These animals all go through a change called metamorphosis and we are going to explore every part of it. We’ll meet our metamorphosis animals that call Tanglewood home and go inspect the vernal pools for frog, toad, and salamander eggs. We will also create a metamorphosis craft.

April 25th - Mad Science with Maggie: Come explore the strange side of nature and science with a day devoted to “Mad Science”! We’ll meet some animals who have strange adaptations such as the bearded dragon and scorpion. We’ll experiment by making our own lava lamps, creating giant bubbles, and other crazy experiments. This half-day program will be jam-packed with activities, animals, and games.  Come ready to get messy and make discoveries!
