Did You Find an Animal that Needs Help? FIND A WILDLIFE REHABILITATOR  Near You

WILDLIFE WISHING WELL was founded on the idea of helping and rehabilitating injured, sick and orphaned wildlife animals in need. Ever since our organization was established, we have endeavored to provide help where the need is greatest and that is why we specialize almost exclusivly in RVS (Rabies Vector Species) such as Raccoons. Although fox are not considered RVS in New York State, they are in most states and we accept them also. If an animal other than RVS needs care, we help them find another rehabber or, if space permits, accept them ourselves. We are not licensed for birds but will help a bird in need to find a rehabber that is properly licensed.

2020 was a busy year and 2021 promises to be the same.  We opened the new nursery even though contributions are STILL needed to finish the flooring.

In 2020 we helped 146 individuals, seven species of animals which included 121 raccoons of which most were orphans that required 24/7 feeding and other care.  Other mammals included 7 skunks, 6 red fox, 1 gray fox, 1 red squirrel 9 opossums and 1 snapping turtle.  That adds up to 146 animals that, through the help of our volunteers and the donations of some wonderful citizens of New york, were able to get housed, fed and medicated as necessary.  All raccoons, skunks, foxes and coyotes were also vaccinated against Rabies, Distemper and Parvo prior to release back into the wild.

Our doors remain open only as long as funds allow.  If you find a baby animal that needs help, it will require food, medications, and veterinary attention even if it is not injured That is why donations are solicited and appreciated.  Our team is made up entirely of  trained volunteers. We advocate for wildlife animals who need our help. Even a little help goes a long way.  That is why we are especially happy to find new volunteers who share our commitment. If you would like to show your support for wildlife, do not hesitate to contact us. A helping hand is always greatly appreciated!
