What can you do to help Tanglewood Nature Center?

Trail Guides:  We are always looking for new ideas and fresh faces to lead hikes on the trails of Tanglewood.  We offer 9 miles of trails which include grasslands, pine forests, and much more.  all summer long we lead hikes every Saturday in the morning or afternoon.  We are always looking to meet new people and talk about what you may be interested in doing.

Trail Maintenance:  We have 9 miles of trails that always need to be trimmed and mowed.  This is your chance if you like to be outside and are looking for a nice way to help and be outside. This may be perfect for you.

Docent Educator:  Assist with and develop student programs with the help of Tanglewood staff.  This person may have the opportunity to work and show animals.

Museum Guide:  Asssist with museum tours to groups that come to visit the museum.  A longer training is required for this position.

Volunteer Department:  Help with clerical help, word processing, creation of flyers and brochures, party planning/execution, and phone-calling.

On-Call Janitorial Staff:  Help with maintenance of the building when needed for special events, when staff is off or during busy times of the year.

Outreach Education Staff:  Assist with and develop community events, assist staff with special youth programs and school programs.
