Our Arthropods

Rose haired tarantula

·        It is a nocturnal hunter and finds a shelter to web itself into at dawn.

·        Many are brownish, while others are more reddish or pink in color. Many people believe these are two separate species but that is not the case.

 Hissing cockroaches

·        Hissing roach or simply Hisser, is one of the largest species of cockroach, reaching 4-5 inches at maturity.

·        Females carry the ootheca (egg case) internally, and release the young nymphs only after the eggs have hatched

Millipede

·        Giant African Millipedes inhabit warm, damp, dark places of tropical and sub tropical Africa.

·        They are docile, don't bite, and their main line of defense is to coil into a tight ball. They do have a backup defense weapon, though. They can secrete a foul smelling and bad-tasting fluid.

We have more Arthropods, pictures coming soon;
