Magical Beasts Camp

August 14th - August 18th

Grades 3-5

·       Discover all the different magical creatures in habitats like the pond, the sky, and the woods - mermaids, salamanders in the fire, imps and brownies and gryphons and unicorns

·       Design a chimera that mixes up your favorite adaptations like wings, special powers, talons or webbed feet

·       Learn about the natural world that mimics magic – why bogs glow in the dark, the science of fairy rings, and more

·       Build a gnome home and imagine how magical creatures coexist with humans

June 29th- July 3rd   K-2 & 3-5 Sessions

Start your summer out right by taking a walk on the wild side! This camp will embrace all that is wild at Tanglewood, from the tops of the trees to deep in the dirt and everything in between! Discover how our ecosystems work and all that inhabits them. Campers will dissect owl pellets, use binoculars to look for birds, capture bugs and identify them, inspect a fallen log, and much more! Each day is a new theme and campers enjoy live animals, crafts, games, hikes and exploration.
