Hunters and the Hunted Camp

August 7th - August 11th

Grades 3-5

    

·       Practice the art of camouflage as you disguise yourself from your friends, and learn other natural defenses like mimicry, venom, and mobbing!

·       Echolocate your prey like a bat, stalk like a fox, and learn to track and trap in the woods

·       Watch our frogs, snakes, and scorpion hunt their prey, and see Hank our red-tailed hawk fly for his dinner!




  


      


      


          




      

June 29th- July 3rd   K-2 & 3-5 Sessions

Start your summer out right by taking a walk on the wild side! This camp will embrace all that is wild at Tanglewood, from the tops of the trees to deep in the dirt and everything in between! Discover how our ecosystems work and all that inhabits them. Campers will dissect owl pellets, use binoculars to look for birds, capture bugs and identify them, inspect a fallen log, and much more! Each day is a new theme and campers enjoy live animals, crafts, games, hikes and exploration.

Nature Center and Museum hours: OPEN Tuesday-Friday, 9am-4pm, and Saturday 10am-4pm. CLOSED Sunday-Monday. Trails are open dawn to dusk year-round.
