FREE two-session workshop taught by artists Tony Moretti and Gwen Quigley. A creative how-to workshop designed to teach adults (parents, teachers, counselors, youth center leaders, etc) how to guide the youth they work with to create art out of natural materials.
MORNING SESSION 10am-12:30pm: gathering, processing and creating art with natural materials; safe use of hand tools; the creation of large-scale outdoor group projects.
Lunch break - bring your own lunch!
AFTERNOON SESSION 1:30pm-3:30pm: ways of working with natural materials in the classroom; the creation of indoor, small-scale individual projects
Come learn and share ideas with other area educators while connecting with nature, and enjoying the beauty around you at Tanglewood. Please bring your own lunch, water, and work-gloves if you have them. Free, but pre-registration is required. Event capped at 20 participants.
